Armed with a Zoology degree from Miami University, Dr. John pursued his dental education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he had the fortunate opportunity to meet his wife and partner, Dr. Stacey. After graduation, the couple made the decision to return to Dr. John's hometown to establish their own dental practice, Bloomington Family Dental. Their goal has always been to provide a comfortable and technologically advanced environment for their patients, adapting and growing with the ever-evolving landscape of dental technology.

He wase been actively involved in the McLean County Health Department for 10 years, serving in the children’s dental clinic. Dr. John has also contributed his time to providing free dental care, including the Gary S. Johnson Free Dental Clinic, and served as the dental chairperson for the Lighthouse Free Clinic, assisting Russian Adoptees.

She attended Sauganash Elementary School, St. Paul Academy and Regina Dominican High School before pursuing a major in Biology at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. One of the highlights of her college experience was participating in the semester abroad program in Seville, Spain.
After graduating from college, Dr. Stacey enrolled at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, where she met and fell in love with Dr. John. Following her graduation in 1995, the couple decided to make Bloomington their home.
Before establishing their private practice in 2001, Dr. Stacey had the privilege of working for Dr. Jay Chrisman and Dr. Robert Horenkamp as an associate. Additionally, she contributed her skills to the McLean County Health Department in the Children’s Dental Clinic part time for 10 years.
Active in both local and dental communities, Dr. Stacey dedicated her time to various community services. Her involvement included working with the Kappa Delta
Alumnae Association, Miller Park Zoological Society, the Children’s Discovery Museum Guild, Mulberry School Board, Fox Creek parent volunteer, Parkside Junior High parent volunteer, McLean County Community Health Advisory Committee, the McLean County Oral Health Task Force, and the McLean County Unit 5 Educational Foundation. In 2009, she received the Pantagraph Area “40 under 40” award for her contributions. In 2021, she was honored by Kappa Delta Sorority with the Order of the Pearl, the highest award for alumnae.

Lisa has been with us the longest and has worked with Dr. John since 1994. She has a big heart and enjoys helping others understand their insurance and benefits. Lisa is an active member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers. She has one son, Colton and a grandson, Hunter.
Gwen | Registered Dental Hygienist
Gwen has been a hygienist with us since 2004. She graduated from Parkland College in 2002 with an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene. Gwen has a strong work ethic and loves her job. Gwen is married with two children and loves spending time with her family. Gwen also enjoys photography, going to the gym, and scrapbooking.
Erin | Registered Dental Hygienist
Erin has been a hygienist with us since 2009. She graduated from Parkland College in 2006 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. Erin loves the dental world and has a passion for educating her patients. Erin is married with three children and loves sunshine and spending time with her family.

Emily has been with us since 2020 as our one of our dental assistants, however she has been in the dental field since 2014. She is from Pontiac,IL and is married with two cats. Becky joined our team in 2021 as a patient care coordinator after finishing her dental assistant certification. Becky grew up in Lexington, IL and loves anything in nature with her blended family and 3 dogs. Becky is very friendly and loves the family atmosphere at Bloomington Family Dental.

Molly's journey in dentistry began alongside her father, Dr. Martin Wieland, where she started as a dental assistant. Her passion for dental care led her to pursue a career as a dental hygienist after graduating from Northwestern in 1982. Molly's devotion to the profession was not only a family legacy but a personal calling she embraced with enthusiasm.
In addition to her accomplishments in dentistry, Molly was a scholar with a B.A. and M.A. in English from Illinois State University. Her diverse educational background reflected her intellectual curiosity and love for learning.
Outside the dental office, Molly was a loving wife to Steve, also an ISU graduate, and a proud mother of three children. Her family was her greatest joy, and she balanced the demands of a dental career with the warmth and care she extended to her loved ones.
Molly's time at Bloomington Family Dental was marked by her genuine enthusiasm for using her dental knowledge and experience to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
